Frank Zappa and The Mothers Of Invention - In The 1960s

As a longtime Zappa fan, after I saw the lineup, I was expecting an FZ bashing by the list of former Mothers here. I was pleasantly surprised that there was none of that. This documentary is an excellent look at the beginnings of the MOI right up to the demise of the original group in 1969. FZ biographer and insider Billy James is extremely knowledgeable with the details. Jimmy Carl Black WAS THERE, and Bunk Gardner doesn't know what he was doing. Artie Tripp is in here as well. I was surprised that some former Mothers didn't participate (Roy and Motorhead.) And I wish we could see what happened to Ray Collins. This DVD is well worth the price. It also includes some never before seen footage. BUY IT NOW!!!!!
