Frank Gambale - Acoustic Improvisation (DVD, 2007)

Having purchased some of Frank Gambale's earlier instructional DVD's I'm still amazed at how clear and concise his lessons are! Though unlike his earlier offerings, this DVD focuses primarily on the musical aspects of improvising over changes verses the technical aspects. You could model a complete system of improvisation off his "guide tone" method and is the same thing I paid hundreds of dollars years ago to learn from a jazz guitarist in my youth. Beyond the great instruction, melodic ideas and getting to see a modern great perform the same melodic ideas live with his trio, you will be entertained by Frank's unassuming deliver and overall mastery! Highly Recommended!
