Framing Armageddon: Something Wicked Pt.1 by Iced Earth (CD, Sep-2007, Steamhammer Records)

Well, to start things off...i would like to say that the singer is Tim, the ripper, Owens...! Now i know that everyone says owens is not as good as Barlow. Well i would say that owens and barlow are different singers, that much is apparant. But i wont say that one is better than the other. If your not an ignorant prick, who wont listen to a band because the singer changed, then have an open mind and buy this cd. Like others have said before me...tim owens just fits the music on this cd..and he does a real good job all around. The guitar is amazing, as expected. What i find really really amazing about this cd is how the lyrics are written. As you listen to it for the first time..read the lyrics, cause it is completely one big story! One song leads to the next..and it is sooo freaken cool. I honestly dont know how this dude does it? The lyrics are so amazing...and what i really like about this cd is the simple fact that it sounds just different from any other metal album i own. Some songs tim owens doesnt really let it out when he sings...he kinda has this odd way that he sounds...and it is SOO METAL...I COULD LISTEN TO THE SONG: Motivation Of Man...over and over again!! His voice gets better every cd..and he is forming his own way of singing...and it is awesome...it is METAL! So to finish things up...if you are a fan of iced earth and your unsure whether or not to buy this cd because of a different singer, than i say have an open mind and buy it! If your a fan of iron maiden, judas priest, or Dio, then i would say that buying this cd is a no-brainer! And my last comment will be....at first it may sound a little strange to you...cause it did to me, but i promise you it will get better every time you listen to it...it will become an addiction! I just cant get over how different it sounds...and yet so powerful! This is one cd that will be in my mind for a very long time :) Hope you buy it and feel the same way :) To all the metal fans out there...KEEP ROCKING! YA!
