I bought this DVD because I am an avid fan of Angelina Jolie. She plays yet again a rebelious, strong-willed, dysfuntional teenage girl. She leads a group of girls into letting go, finding themselves and learning to stick up for themselves and each other. Comparable to the film Stand By Me, though Foxfire is a young female bonding adventure rather than young male bonding adventure. The storyline and side characters are not spectacular, but are acceptable. Both men and women I know enjoy this movie. There is partial nudity, but it is tasteful. It is a movie that one can watch easily and enjoy. It may also encourage us to reflect on our own memories and current lives. An Angelina fan will not be dissapointed, and fans of young friends and bonding/growing up adventures will also appreciate Foxfire.
