Fourth Wise Man | The (DVD)

I had read about this particular DVD on a website and thought it would be an appropriate movie for our church Christmas party. It exceeded my expectations and proved to be a very inspirational and moving experience for my church.

The message of how our lives can be full in serving others is much needed in today's world as much as it was then.
The personalities were almost amateurish - don't understand why that was necessary to the story.
It is a good movie to see and share with others. I would think that families, youth groups, etc. might benefit from this understanding.

I really liked the storyline. Although it was fictional it was inspiring how one man spent his life to others while searching for the Christ Child. I don't like that it has subtitles, to me this is a little distracting when trying to watch to movie. I would however recommend this movie to others.

Here is a movie I saw 20+ years ago that I have ever remembered. An epic that moved me enough to remember it and want to find a copy. I am thrilled to own this superb performance by Martin sheen and it will be a classic in my home watched annually.

A story set in the Biblical times concerns a Magi named Artaban who studies the prophecies and witnesses a sign in the heavens that he hopes will lead him and his faithful servant, Orantes, to the Messiah.

Artaban takes with him three precious gifts to present to the Messiah. For 33 years, Artaban and Orantes pursue Jesus only to miss Him at every turn. Along the way, Artaban uses his gifts to help people in dire need. He now has nothing to present to the Messiah when he finds Him. The story culminates on Easter Sunday as Artaban, old and dying, finally encounters the new King, bringing peace to his final moments of life.

I have to admit, I was crying in the end!
