Fourth From the Last by W'S (The) (CD, Jul-1998, Five Minute Walk Recordings)

The W's has an interesting style which sounds a lot like swing, with horns and some ska influence. The songs' lyrics also have a witty sense of humor. "Fourth from the Last" is a really fun cd.

I like swing. I like Big Band. There are very few Christian swing bands in existence. So I just thought I'd try this one. It's okay- pretty good. They actually reminded me somewhat of Big Bad Voodoo Daddy. I thought they had a relatively similar sound. Brian Setzer emphasizes his guitar playing and a slightly more rocky sound. Denver and the Mile High Orchestra has a stronger horn section and more crazy jazz "riffs" here and there. It is definitely danceable music. Just count it. It has a nice beat. If you like swing, I'd recommend it.
