Synopsis
In this pun-tastic romp by the author of THE EYRE AFFAIR, detective Jack Spratt of the Reading Police Department is on the case once again. The Gingerbreadman, a brilliant psychopathic killer, is on the rampage, but Jack has been demoted to missing persons detail after a few unfortunate incidents from last time, so he's not assigned to go after the armed and dangerous cookie. An almost-as-interesting job comes his way, however, when reporter Henrietta 'Goldilocks' Hatchett goes missing.
