Four Seasons in Cross Stitch by Jayne Netley Mayhew, Nicki Wheeler (1997, Hardcover)

I bought this book after buying another "seasons" type of book, and while I was disappointed with the first book, this one met ALL my expectations and then some!!! I love the hedgehog on the cover, and was willing to take a chance on the rest of the book. NO WORRIES!! I love nearly every design in the book, and the one I don't care for is still nice just not my style (my mom loves it). Pictures are highly detailed, and most are not for the faint of heart. These projects are long term commitments! But they will be so worth it! I love the dandelion clock, and the barn owl, and of course the hedgehog. Even the otter with the beading which looks like froth on the water is FABULOUS. I will definitely by other books by this designer. The only thing I am slightly apprehensive about is all the silk ribbon embroidery, which I have little experience with. All in all, I must Highly recommend this book!!
