Founding Mothers by Cokie Roberts (2004, Hardcover)

Very well researched and written. I learned countless facts and informative tidbits about the great ladies of the revolution including the daily responsibilities of a woman of the day. Roberts covers more than the usual characters, Mrs. Franklin, Washingon & Adams, but she covers many others that I was unaware of. My bookclub had a wonderful discussion about these women and the example they set for modern day women. I would recommend this book.

I thought the book was great I learned alot about the wife's of our early leaders, and the hard lifes they had.

An easy to read but very informative book about the women who contributed so much to the founding of our nation. A fresh look at the political, social and economic dynamics of that time which gives newfound respect and admiration for the many women who risked so much and suffered so much and achieved so much....at a time when history was truly HISstory and not hers.
