Forza Motorsport 2 (Xbox 360, 2007)

This games perfect in just about every aspect. If you were like me and loved gran turismo then you'll love this even more. Gran turismo was cool for buying cars, earning loads of money and modding them but the game play was alway less then exciting. In forza thats just not the case. The gameplay is leaps and bounds above the GT series. Everything in this game fits together seemlessly. Another great aspect of this game is that the dificulty levels can be changed to suit just about anyone. If you dont have time to really be challenged in the game then no problem, just change a few settings before the race starts. I'd recomend this to anyone thats into racing games.

This is the best real racing simulation game I have ever played. It is difficult and realistic. If you expect to drive like you do in Need for Speed, this isn't the game for you. It takes time and a lot of patience. It really gets you into a racing mindset. There are so many cars and so many tracks. I really can't pinpoint a mistake in this game. Overall this game is absolutely great. It crushes the GT games that were on Play Station.

If I had to be picky, I would say this game would need a better soundtrack. It really needs a good soundtrack to boost the driver's (player's) moral and get him into that racing mood. I didn't give graphics a 5 because at times you can see choppiness onto of cars. Not smooth lines. But again, this is if I had to be picky about something. Overall, this game is worth every penny. It will last you forever and a day. Go get it!

Forza Motorsport 2 is a great game at first with different modes that keep you going. Without the multiplayer, this game gets redundant and kinda old in just a short period of time. On the bright side, every aspect of the multiplayer is amazing. If you really enjoy cars, this is the best game out there right now and the selection of cars and customization is great.

How could it be better?
There is a large selection of cars, but not a great variety. There could be trucks, motorcycles, and even the common car like the Honda Civic or Nissan Altima. Drag races would give this game a little boost. It's a great game that's worth playing, but there is always room for improvement!

Forza for the Xbox was a great game. It was the best racing game on the Xbox or any system for that. And this game looks like its going to be the best ever the graphics are great and will put the Xbox 360 up in sales. Forza 2 is going to be a great game and the Xbox live part of it is going to be sweet. I just can't wait for it to come out!

When something has reached perfection, what can you say?
Forza Motorsport 2 has been a fair while in the making. It is the ONLY racing simulator on the Xbox360 and will remain that way for quite some time. However this distinction shows off its great points even more, the seamless online to single player career is excellent, the cars in number and handling characteristics, the seemingly unlimited livery editor and the great tuning options.

Forza Motorsport 2 goes as deep as you want it to, if you want to treat it kind of arcadey it is kind of possible but the cars WILL bite back and your lack of care. Go a little deeper and you can play it like a Gran Turismo, buy car, race car, earn cash, use cash. Alternatively go into the deep end and find yourself immersed in online tournaments, mini championships, auction house, livery editor.

The demo is up on marketplace and gives a good if limited experience of the full game. I suggest you download that to see if you are interested. I knew I would be from day 0.

WOW this game is the most realistic racing game you can get on the xbox 360. The online play is the best out there you can make your car look just how you want with the paint and decal shop. The racing is so good you think your watching a race on tv! This game is great I thought forza 1 was good this blows that one out of the water. This is a must buy for anyone who owns a xbox 360 and likes racing games. Plus there is not many racing games out on the 360 so this is a must buy. I love this game!!

Forza Motorsports 2 is better than the first one for regular xbox I think.
Some of the cars are pretty easy to get though. It is definitly the best racing game for the 360 so far.
All in all i think it is a great game.

this game is for people that really know about cars everything that can be done to a car you can do and everything that affects a cars performance such as rim size car height and etc, actually take effect in this game... this is no kid game

great simulation game.. you can upgrade any car and customize ;.... body customization is limited but performance upgrades are great.. awesome game if you love cars and racing like me

This is a great game with excelent graphics. career mode is fun and time trials are challenging. cars are customizable. fun game with or without a wheel.

fun game. dont knwo if you can beat it. i still didnt beat the first one. I've play 40 some hours and i have 20% complete. long game but it keeps you occupied and is fun

KICK this review off with a WOW! Im very impressed with this game.With 300 cars to be used,customized,and collected you cannot go wrong with a racing game with such good selection! The Arcade mode thing where you get to run through time trials and races is a very quick way for some easy achievments and some cool cars for career mode.Now the career mode is loaded! with so many different races to be...well raced is just great.The ability to tune your car to make it better than your opponents gives the race an edge.So you not going against cars exactly like yours.As for the handling I must say its the best.For the first time in a car game i can really say the cars all have their own feel to them.And cars you thought you like mine being the Eclipse may become your enemy just because you dont like the handling.I like the Eclipse looks,but the handling just isnt for me.In this game you can also customize your cars paint job by adding over 900 layers.This makes for some awesome designs you can either make yourself and sell in the auction house or buy other creations people have made.The online for this game is spectacular for a racing game.For the most part people online are very nice and actually dont try and run you off the road!!! you'll hear alot of sorrys from people accidently nudging you.Its deffenetly something you wont get in other online racers.Plus getting to ride along side other peoples custom cars is great! getting to see all the cool paint jobs.The ability to take photos and upload them from the Forza 2 website is also a nifty little feature!I myself have made some pretty cool designs after getting the hang of the editor.in all im giving this game a 9.7 - 10
The things this game could use,More body kit options for your vehicles,some better paint shapes & decals for those not so good at the paint editor,and some more maps.altho there are alot of map choices most of them are just like different ways around a givin track.But what the game gives you isnt bad.I love Leguna Seca (spelling?) any how.This game is very very good.If you like racing games then make the good decision to add this one to your collection.

I'll get right down to it:

PROS: Excellent fluidity and smooth-running graphics engine for the game. The realism of car handling and dynamics, especially performance under car damage, seems to capture more of the driving essence which should be a staple of any racing game(a feature Gran Turismo has yet to address) By far Forza 2 is an improvement on one of the most realistic racers available today. Car selection is fantastic, and course selection is fairly expansive. Car customization options gives you a limitless combination of stuff to do with your car...you can probably spend days fine tuning and still have room for improving your car.

CONS: To sacrifice for smoothness, the graphics have become a little jagged (i.e. a sacrifice of rasterization for speed) but when you play such a smooth-framed game like Forza 2, you tend to forget about the jaggedness. Also, wish they would at least have an option for playing in-GAME music rather than just menu music (If they have an option for that, I've yet to figure it out) Also, by today's standards, the level of detail for the courses are lacking (a somewhat simplistic and kinda "wide-open-field" feeling...though whatever detail they do include within each course is very true to life)

OVERALL: This is a purchase-worthy game you will enjoy for the smooth and realistic game-play. The visual piece is an added bonus (though not much) and the lack of in-game music might drive you insane after racing through an endurance course (thank God for iPods!) but overall a great title to add to your Xbox 360 collection.

When i first bought my xbox 360, i picked up project gotham racing. I thought it was awesome but it was lacking in some areas. Forza filled the holes i thought project gotham did not. This game is graphically amazing, the feel of the cars is great. My favorite thing is that you can design cars and if your good enough at designing them, you can sell them on xbox live for forza credits that you can then use in your career (which by the way is the best career mode of any racing game) to buy other cars. If you have any interest in this game, dont think about it, BUY IT.

The game is better than the first one.It's very similar to Gran Turismo but the graphics are a little better.The sound effects are a lot better and sound more like a real engine.Great selection of cars.Had a couple of simple gliches in it but just for a second or two(may have been my console).If you are a race fan, this game is about as good as they will ever get.

The good: Better selection of cars, name brand parts, cars are fully upgradable, difficulty level is right on par for what a racer should be, Great graphics especially on the replay mode, a large selection of races, fun to sell your cars you have no use for over Xbox LIVE, fun online multiplayer, Fantastically deep painting your car mode.

The Bad: no drift or rally modes, I haven't seen the ability to make a custom soundtrack like it the first Forza. more game modes would have been nice.

The Ugly: NONE

Overall I wished they had pushed the envelope a little more with this one, but it's still a fantastic game. If you love racing games, this is DEFINITELY for you!

Been playing Forza Motorsport 2 for quite awhile now and I bought myself a copy when I bought my xBox so I could play it for myself while I wait around for Forza 3 to get here. All of the Forza Motorsport games are great games!
