They take something, give it unlimited potential, and then cripple it in such a way that it becomes worthless? This game is stunning graphically. The physics of the cars, especially on hard, is amazing. The ability to tweak the car is fantastic. And the little things like unlocking classic F1 cars, priceless. BUT......... THERE IS NO MULTIPLAYER!!!!!!! Let me rephrase that. If you define multiplayer as the ability to sit down with a buddy and use the same playstation 3, the same game, and the same T.V. in a split-screen mode, then THERE IS NO MULTIPLAYER!!!!!! If you want to race your friends (or in my case my brother) then you MUST purchase another ps3, another copy of the game, and another t.v. And then you can only play them via LAN or online play. This is a good game, the online play is fantastic, you can customise races to your preference including laps, pits, weather, qualification, max number of cars etc etc. The graphics are fantastic especially the rain on the visor when racing! All in all this is a really good game but I have to agree with the previous reviewer, this games is badly hurt by the lack of multiplayer split screen mode. You can only play multiplayer on line against other users with a seperate PS3 and TV/monitor. My son hates this more than anybody as he is not too patient and wants to race all the time (he must take after me!) which means one of us generally spends a lot of time watching the other race! The seller of this item had fairly good reviews until recently. His feedback started to get negative about two months ago. After I had bought the item and waited three weeks he told me he was having problems with customs and then two weeks later I get an E-mail telling me that he had declaired bankruptcy. As of now the item has and never will be recieved and is pending a PayPal investigation. From now on if I can get the item in a local store I will.
