Forever Young (DVD, 1999)

Wonderful love story that spans 50 years. Solid entertainment. Moves well due to great performances by Mel Gibson and Jamie Lee Curtis. Probably need the Kleenex the last 15 minutes. Well worth watching again and again.

I had lost this movie and really wanted it very bad as it was one of my favorites. If it wouldn't have been a favorite, I would have never bought it because the shipping and handling charges were to high. First off there shouldn't even be any handling charges. This is not big bussiness. More consideration needs to be given to just charge for actual shipping charges. Some auctions may require a money order and that costs more money as they don't accept checks, they need to accept checks just don't shipp the item until the check clears. Simple!! I believe shipping and so called handleing charges are being used more for the seller to be able to make a little more money. When I recieve a package it usually has the cost of how much it cost to shipp the item and I assume the difference is for handleing. So when I bid I pay close attention to shipping charges and whether they accept a check!!

Excellent Movie - worth owning. The only thing I didn't like is the SNAP CASE that it came in. I personally don't like the snap case, I like all my DVD movies to be in the KEEP CASE. The difference is the Snap Case is cardboard and thinner, and the closer folds over and snaps, very cheap quality. The Keep Case is all hard sided plastic and more durable and fits much better along with my other DVDs. The movie itself is awesome.

This movie is one of Mel gibsons all tiem classics, a must have for any one who collects DVD, Mel shows soo mauch passion in this film i reconmend it.

Once in a while you run across a movie that just sticks in your brain. This is one of those movies. I first saw it shortly after it came out. I have watched it many times since. Once or twice a year I must see it again. Always with tissues close at hand. The story plot is inventive and surprising at times. And the ending...WOW! If you like romance and don't mind shedding a tear or two (or more) this is the movie for you. One that you may wear out. Beyond that I won't ruin it for you. Good luck in getting your copy. I charish mine and consider getting a spare (just in case mine DOES wear out).

Very interesting Sci-Fi movie with a romantic twist. Frozen alive for 50 years, the main character wakes up in 1992, although he had only agreed to be frozen for 1 year in 1939. He later finds the love of his life is still alive. (She had unexpectedly come out of her coma while he was frozen.) The couple are reunited 50 years later; it is a great love story. Those who are suckers for happy endings (myself included) will love this one.

I LOVED THIS MOVIE. MEL GIBSON IS TOPS. HE IS A TERRIFIC ACTOR AND I SEE ALL OF HIS MOVIES. WHAT ELSE CAN I SAY.

A great movie! Gibson is wonderful here. So are the other actors (and actresses). It has adventure, comedy, sci-fi, romance, and mystery. I love the period element... including the 30's songs, especially "The Very Thought Of You," which is playing while he is driving with his girlfriend. Gibson is a test pilot in the 30's who is put into cryogenic sleep supposed to be for a short time, but the scientist conducting the experiment dies and the cryogenic unit is stored in a warehouse, since nobody knows anyone is in it, until it is opened by two children in the 90's. The sci-fi and comedic elements are wonderful, as is the flying! But it is the romantic storyline that really makes this movie special. I highly recommend it!

I first saw this movie when my mom taped it years ago. I've loved it ever since. I had to have the DVD! It's a beautiful love story the whole family can watch. It's very heartwarming yet has it's sad moments. Acted brilliantly by Gibson, Curtis and Wood! This is one you don't want to miss!

Mel Gibson and Jamie Lee Curtis in the same breath let alone the same movie. Jamie Lee can bandage my knuckles anytime.
As an old retired pilot from the era before computerized cockpits I can really relate and romantisize with this movie.
I think it will continue to stand the test of time as has the main star attractions, the B-25, Jamie Lee and Mel. Now there is a threesome to die for.

It was quick and easy. The movie was in great condition. Trying to replace my VHS movies. And I received it fast.

Great movie...a definite tear jerker! Most of the movie is far fetched but just let yourself believe it...it really makes me miss my first girlfriend...she is still Holding My Heart...

This was one of my all time favorite movies and I had it on VHS tape so wanted to update this movie to add to my DVD collection. plus you remind me of my ex-boyfriend at the time when he was young " mel gibson " he's the best. a excellent actor , got to love him ! so handsome in his days!

I LIKE THE MOVIE BECAUSE WE ALL AT ONE TIME SAY HOW IT WOULD BE NICE TO GO BACK IN TIME AGAIN AT SOME POINT.IT'S GOOD TO SEE ALL THE OLD PLANES OF TIMES GONE BY.THERE ARE THING'S LOST AND THEN THERE ARE THING'S FOREVER.THE LAST QUESTION? THE MOVIE TAKE'S ME BACK WHEN MY PARENT'S WERE ALIVE AND THE TEN CHILDERN LIVING WERE ON THE FARM AND ALOT YOUNGER. OH! BOY I LOVE THAT!

Well I like mel gibson but this story didnt grab me cause mels girlfriend is scary lookin, and the story is unconvincing, and I cant see mel loveing that homely looking female, Who did the casting.?? I like george wendt in cheers but he didnt quite cut the cheese as a proffessor. Anyway the story is so unbelievable it sorta kills it for me.The acting is ok. If It was me I would have stuck with jamie curtis, shes much more likeable than mels ugly freckled girlfriend lol !! It has a sucky ending if you ask me and I never did like seeing old people kiss, YUCK !! LOL

movie was great love all the old time screen and how people care for each other no matter what. how they can help other with out knowing there back round.

A bit sci-fi, a bit love story, and a whole lot of child-adult interplay revolves around this story of an American test pilot who is put into suspended animation in 1939 and is awakened in 1992. A very endearing yarn about true love not having any boundaries (material or temporal), and my favorite - a decked-out / museum-quality B-25 bomber landing on the lawn of the Point Arena Lighthouse! YEAH! Great performances by Jamie Lee Curtis, Mel Gibson, and a very young Elijah Wood (pre-Frodo!).

i got this movie because mel gibson is also one of my favorit actors i have just about all of his movies
