Forensic Science of C.S.I. is NOT as good as it gets.

"Forensic Science of C.S.I." has become a poorly dressed stepchild to another outstanding forensic book entitled "Forensics for Dummies", published in 2004." Although the C.S.I. book contains useful information and is logically chaptered by the author, it is slightly outdated and the layout of the individual chapters are difficult to understand if the reader does not actually read the book cover to cover. Personally, I like to skip around. On the plus side, I did learn some interesting things about the C.S.I. TV show in its use of forensic science material. If you plan to purchase only one forensic book, I would highly recommend "Forensics for Dummies". "Forensic Science of C.S.I." would also be useful if you want another author's perspective on the subject matter. To be honest, I might have given the C.S.I. book a much higher rating, if I hadn't read "Forensics for Dummies" first.
