If you have a pre-95 FI Ford, you should own this book!

This book claims to cover 1988-1993 Fords with the EEC-IV system, but information contained in applies up to 1995 and touches back to 1978 in a few places with the EEC-I, II, and several pages of the EEC-III and CFI units. There are also dozens of pages covering the MECS (Mazda Engine Control System) found on imported Ford models and even a small chapter dedicated to performance modifications!!! The wiring diagrams are excellent, and there are test procedures for every piece of the system including individual sensors, fuel injector specs, and etc. I was a little disappointed at the lack of step-by-step procedures and troubleshooting for the average joe, but being a certified mechanic and owning three Fords covered by this manual I can see it is worth owning, even if you have a factory shop manual! It is easy to navigate, and this book covers a lot of theory, (almost 2 chapters), and would be best used as a supplemental manual. This book has since gone out of print, and prices have gotten as high as $128 for a new copy, I do not feel it is worth quite THAT much, but well worth the almost $40 I paid for it a while back. This is the only reason I rate it at GOOD versus an EXCELLENT.
