Beverly Lewis nevere disappoints me. I read the first of this series and could hardly wait to get into the other 2. Our local library could not get me copies in large print, so I went to E-bay and found both at a buy it now. Within a week of reading the first one from the library, I was reading #2.

Amish Population in Pennsylvania is splitting into two factions - Old Order & New (salvation by faith alone). The congregation is being allowed 3 months to decide which group they want to belong to. Our Heroine's family is going to go with the New group and her beau and intended husband's family is going to remain Old Order. His father has forbidden him to see her but our Heroine's family is allowing her to make up her own mind. The young couple is trying to do what's right for them and work around his family. There are other subplots around this great schism as well. It is very suspenseful and interesting as each family decides which path to follow. As always it is interesting to read about the Amish families and their way of life. I believe Beverly Lewis has a good understanding of the Amish, both new and Old Order and the Mennonite way of life. You can immerse yourself in the culture and believe that you are living there with them.
