I love the reality of Abbey's writing. It has to do with a mans journey through life living by his own rules and the interactions with women along the way. It is a very romantically cynical book, and yet so heart wrenching in the end. I literally cried at the end.
I have read a few other Abbey books, but this is definitely on my top choice list of all books I have ever read.
