Fooled By Randomness by Nassim Nicholas Taleb (2005, Paperback, Updated)

I bought this book and the person selling it had a good rating. Then after 7 bad ratings while I'm waiting for the book I figure I'm not going to get it. I file a complaint through paypal after his account was suspended. They said they could do nothing. Great job paypal...

A must read for market speculators and those seeking greater insight into black swans, randomness, etc.

Author feels smarter than the rest of the world when he discovers that life is uncertain. Book then describes how he uses this observation as a stock market trader. A few useful tidbits result.

This person rated the book as in very good condition. It was very used. The corners were very worn, many pages bent, the cover was worn, and there were markings all over the book. This would have been fine if they had told me that that was the condition the book was in and been honest about it, but there was nothing in the discription that said anything of the sort. I am disappointed in this seller and would not do buisness with them again.

This is an excellent lesson in considering all the information we have available when making a decision, and also to realize we do not know other possible factors, and also much of that which we think we know is biased.

Great book. Read it before or after The Black Swan--either way, you will really enjoy it! Taleb is my favorite author/philosopher/thinker out there right now, and his ideas and insights are priceless.
