Synopsis Aurora "Roe" Teagarden and her businessman husband Martin Bartell are enjoying newlywed bliss when Martin's niece Regina materializes at their doorstep with a newborn baby in her arms. The next day, Regina and her car are missing. Meanwhile, Regina's husband Craig, who is an ex-convict, has been found dead at their apartment outside small-town Corinth, Ohio. Determined to get to the bottom of these mysterious occurrences--and to find a home for Regina's child--Roe, Martin, and baby travel to Corinth. The plot thickens when Regina reappears from hiding.
