Food & Wine Annual Cookbook 2009 by Food & Wine (2009)

Anyone who likes to cook should pick up an annual cookbook by Food & Wine. The recipes (over 700!!!) in the 2009 version are flavorful, well written and contain an excellent mix of the everyday to the exotic ways to prepare food. Each recipe comes with a guide to time needed, serving sizes, recommendations on making ahead, serving suggestions and some general recommendations as to healthy eating or vegetarian selections. The 2009 edition is broken down into 17 categories that range from starters to drinks. Additional recommendations are also made for wine pairings. The recipes are also indexed in a manner that is both clear and concise. The only criticism I have is that the recipes do not have a nutritional breakdown.
I have been very pleased with the recipes that I have made from the book and highly recommend its purchase. For a surprisingly good and wonderfully flavorful example start with the Zucchini Noodles with Raw Tomato Marinara on page 235. The list of ingredients doesn't begin to explain the fantastic resulting flavor of the end product. Try it and you will be pleasantly surprised.
