
Emotional Eating Decoded
I've previously read this book, and was impressed by the author's insight into the "why" of emotional/compulsive eating. Yes, any sensible diet can work, but unless you've deciphered the reasons behind eating (and they are many more than just physical hunger), most folks will continue the weight loss win/lose cycle. The author gently guides readers to examine how past hurts/losses affect our life (and food) choices. The book is not a "diet" book, but more of guide toward self awareness of our attitudes about and reasons for eating.
