Weird Al's "Food Album"
Review created: 02/10/09(updated 02/10/09)
This is a WONDERFUL album if you want to laugh yourself silly-- Al Yankovic has done it again! All cuts deal with various foods, cravings and obesity, and are parodies of already existing songs made famous by other vocalists. Michael Jackson's "Beat It" becomes Mom telling you to "Eat It", "I'm Bad" is the lamentation "I'm Fat", Ritchie Valens' "La Bamba" is sure to hit a chord with the cartoon cat Garfield with "Lasagna", I myself relate to Joan Jett's "I Love Rock 'n' Roll' when it equals "I Love Rocky Road", and the list goes on.
This copy of "The Food Album" is a birthday gift to a friend of mine who owns and operates a local grill (and who just happens to make GREAT lasagna); I already own this CD and have given several copies to others who appreciate Weird Al's creative genius!
