Flyboys (DVD, 2007, Canadian; 2-Disc Set; Collector's Edition)

Flyboys was my favorite movie (war or otherwise) in 2006. It has plenty of action, decent story line, unbelievable dogfights, plus has enough humor with a tiger as one of the pilots pets! I especially enjoyed the fact it incorporated a love story. Yes it is based on actual American pilots (Lafayette Escadrille) wanting to help the French defeat Germany in World War 1before the United States entered the war. Of course Hollywood always has their own version of "actual events" and does take liberties, but if you want action with a good story line and plot with some pleasant surprises throughout the movie, this should satisfy your thirst!I highly recommend this movie for some historical value as well. The bonus dvd is to include alot more about these courageous and interesting people wanting to simply learn how to fly and helping to deter the worlds enemies. BADDAD
