Excellent in every way!

The best talking-animal movies are the ones, like FLUKE, where the animals do not talk out loud to humans, but only communicate verbally with other animals. A man is reincarnated as a dog, and from flashes of memory he believes he knows what happened in his former life and sets out to correct it --- but the ending is a surprise, both to the auidience and to Fluke himself. Sensitive viewers might be bothered by the deaths. There is more than one, and they are heartbreaking. But there is nothing violent or sensationalized about the deaths; they are presented as a natural part of life. If you do not believe in life after death, or are offended by the concept of a human soul returning as an animal, then FLUKE is not for you. But if you believe in an afterlife --- even if that belief doesn't include reincarnation --- FLUKE is a good film to introduce young children to the concept of death and the survival of the soul. It shows that as painful as death is, and as sad as it is to be separated from someone we love, the soul does survive. There are parts of FLUKE where you'll laugh out loud, and parts where you'll cry...just like real life! Recommended for fans of BABE and MARLEY & ME.
