Flower Fairies Activity Book by Cicely Mary Barker (1992, Paperback)

I purchased this book because I was having a Fairy Tea Party for my granddaughters earlier this summer. The book is based on the original Flower Fairies Books that Cicely Mary Barker wrote in the 1920's. Her absolutely darling illustrations are generously used throughout the book. This is as the title leads you to believe a book of things for young girls to do. Activities include pictures to color, hidden pictures, spot the difference, follow the numbers & dot to dot color picture, word search & others. These are all done using Barkers delightful flower fairies artwork. Any little girl will surely like the paper dolls. There are 2 fairy paper dolls on the back cover of the book. Inside there are 2 full color pages of clothing as well as 2 pages of color your own clothes. There are flower crafts including directions to make potpourri & pressed flower cards. The book includes recipes for your fairy tea party as well as how to plant a fairy garden. This book measures about 9" x 12" & has 24 pages. I highly recommend it for any little girl that loves fairies & crafts. I think it may be appealing to some adults as well. The book was published by Frederick Warne.
