Excellent Read for Any Florist, Wholesaler, Grower A+++

This is an amazing book. The author has clearly done her homework and then some. A must read for any florist, wholesaler, or cut flower grower whether you are "green" or a seasoned veteran to the floral industry. I found this book absolutely fascinating, educational, inspiring, and very difficult to put down between work and home. You learn everything you could possibly want to know about a flower from the ground up - literally - from soil, to seed, to bud, to greenhouse, to being cut, cleansed, stored, sold, shipped, sorted, priced, to landing in a vase on your living room coffee table. This book will open your eyes to the toil, the creativity, the sometimes not-so-glamorous side to the floral industry worldwide.

This is a wonderful introduction into the world of commercial flowers particularly roses. Obviously it will have a narrow range of interested folks, but if you love flowers and have ever wondered about the business then this book is for you. The well meaning author does spend a lot of time on the subject of worker rights, which I really believe could be covered in another work, but I understand her motivation and sense of justice. Highly reccomend if at all interested in this subject.
