Flea Market Finds (2002, Paperback)

I love this book! I have a lot of craft books but this one is really gives a fresh and innovative approach to re-purposing items. For example, it shows how you can take an old suitcase, add some legs & decorative fabric and viola! you have a footstool. Or, how about the decorative window project for the bathroom? Take a six-panel window, put three mismatch frames in the top and add a towel bar at the bottom- it's lovely! This is a great book because it doesn't have you searching high and low for obscure items to use like some books (an antique barber set? a pickle crock? heirloom quality baby clothes? not in this book!) This book also includes high-quality reproducible art, ephmera, and patterns to use with your project. I would recommend this book to anyone who is even mildly curious to adding some flair to their decor to the serious flea market shopper. Ideas, inspiration, and instruction abound in this book.
