Flayderman still the one and only for the collector!
Now in its 9th edition, Flayderman's Guide remains the only concise and reliable guide to antique American firearms available. Continuing in its tradition of being a source of descriptions and valuations of these guns, Norm has expanded and made important revisions and upgrades in this new edition.
While some may claim that his pricing information is inaccurate or unrealistic, it is at the same time unfair to criticize him for this given the changing nature of the marketplace, to say nothing of the variations in value that geography itself places on these values. A fine Revolutionary War musket may bring $xxxx.xx dollars in Massachusetts, that same musket might well bring 80% of that in California simply because so few are interested there.
There simply is no substitute for this book, and I'm happy to know that its author is so diligent in keeping it both vital and useful.
