Flayderman's Guide to Antique American Firearms
Over the years I have purchased various editions of Norns' Firearms Book. Each time he has improved it with additional information. For example his first edition there were 576 pages in his latest edition he had 663 pages. Each of these additional pages provide the collector with more information. Yes there are specific books that go into greater detail for a particular weapon but for an overall view of US weaponary this is a great reference book. When I am searching for information on a particular weapon Norns' book is the first one I go too. Collectors have a problem knowing what an US weapon is worth? His book provides the collector the average value. If you are looking for weapon prices for insruance purposes, then I feel any insurance company would accept the figures found in Norn's Firearms Book. For the average or even the advance collector, you can't go wrong purchasing this book.
