Amanda Pays...More Than Just Eye Candy on Flash TV Show
Amanda Pays was born on June 6, 1959, in London, England and started acting in the United Kingdom.
However, Amanda is best known in the States for her roles as Theora Jones in the movie and television series Max Headroom, and as Christina "Tina" McGee in The Flash TV Show based on the comic book series.
I first saw Amanda on the Flash TV show, where she wasn't used as 'eye candy', but in a more serious role. This was refreshing as most often women are treated other than that on these genre of tv shows or movies!
The Flash was shot as a live action CBS television series from 1990-1991 that starred John Wesley Shipp as the DC Comics superhero, The Flash. It co-starred Amanda Pays.
The series was created by the writing team of Danny Bilson and Paul De Meo while composer Danny Elfman wrote the series’ title theme.
Unfortunately the show only lasted one season, as it was expensive to shoot and the ratings were not as sucessful as the network wanted, due to changing the time slot after running up against the more sucessful shows Cosby Show and Cheers.
The series is now on DVD and is worth watching if you have not seen it before. It is definitely not 'campy', but also not overly 'grim and gritty'.

This is the complete box set of the 1990's live action Flash TV show. THis is everybit of what I remember for the TV show. If you like comic book superhero movies, you will really love this box set. It is the Barry Allen version of Flash. The special effects are ok for its day and also being a TV series. It has a great opening theme song and many guest stars. Everyone should pick up this great box set. The only negative this set has is not many special features.

Great to have the full and complete series, but I was alittle dissapointed that there was not one special feature on any disk. Personally I love commentaries and deleted scenes and bloopers.

after seeing the Flash series back in the early ninties I knew I had to have the complete series, so I recorded most of the series on VHS cassettes. But like most VHS cassettes the picture quality started to fail and I was in danger of losing the series forever until DVD came along and the one person who had it for sale at a reasonable price (unlike the stores). Now I am happier than happy because I have my most favorite live action superhero series on lasting DVD set which I will treasure forevermore.

I enjoyed the flash, my favorite character for marvel. I watched the season shows, then went off the air. I always wanted the flash show for my collection. Huge fan.

The Flash was always my favorite comic character, and this show did little to help or hurt that opinion. The acting was adequate, and the effects were about the same, hence the 3/5 rating.

Flash TV Series Transformed From Comic Book MediumI have always enjoyed the comic book medium and Flash was always one of the most consistant characters. The series is actually fairly well written using people that have been involved with comic book creation and very colorful sets, as you would expect in the four color offset printing. Rendition varies for use on the tv screen. The special effects are fairly well done for the series, exploring different facits of his personality. He is just so nice, as a hero should be. Fun and good natured as well as serious character insight for the cast. This makes the shows more fun to watch because they don't bog down into petty grievances.

This show when it first came out back in the early 90's had state of the art visual FX and was the best superhero show that I had ever seen. The casting was great ,the acting was pretty good too. If your a fan of the Flash then you will love this show.

The Flash Complete "Season"For about 25$ or less, you can have the Flash Complete "Season" (not Series, there's only ONE season) which contains all 22 épisodes of the season on six DVD discs, all in excellent quality. There's no bonus or special what-so-ever, only the episodes without commercials. The only regret is that there's only one season, all because of CBS for resheduling the TV show too much often that viewers thought that it was canceled prematurely.
Two thumbs up for the Flash Complete "Season" and two thumbs down for CBS for killing the show.

The Flash live tv seriesYes, its kinda campy! It's also going on 15yrs old and based on comics. The special effects are what you would expect for an early 90's show. If you like Flash, you should like the series. I had hoped for more when it was on tv.

Superhero fun!The series is not affected by time! I was quite curious if it still did hod up to the memories that I had of it, and it did!

The Flash: The complete seriesWell it came out in late 1990 and lasted one season. Ok for a comic book superhero show,but the villians seem ill concieved(not much thought put into their characters). The Flash was a flash for tv, but would be of value to hard core fans.
