Slow cookers have been making a comeback into out lives because so many of us have other things to occupy our time rather than cooking in the kitchen for an hour or two. I have several of the slow cooker cookbooks, but this one is probably the one I use most of the time, because of the consistent quality of good food taste and the ease in which it is prepared. I am not looking for something gourmet, but down to earth that my family will eat and not pick over. If that's you, then this is the book! Yes, it does make mostly 6 to 8 servings but I haven't found much that I can't freeze for another meal. I call that a bonus! Remember also.....slow cookers are gentle on your budget. Tougher cuts of meat turn out like fillet mignon at the end of the day. This book covers all food categories including desserts. Welcome back Slow Cookers!
