Album Notes
This is Volume 12 of Curb's Bocephus Series.
Personnel: Hank Williams, Jr. (electric guitar).
FIVE-O is typical mid '80s Hank Williams, Jr., with the exception of "I'm For Love," which is as mellow as the title suggests. Highlights include "This Ain't Dallas" (as in the contemporary TV show), as well as covers of George Thorogood's "I Really Like Girls," with the composer sitting in on guitar, and Fats Waller's "Ain't Misbehavin'," which is pretty funny when you consider who's singing it.
Warren Zevon's "Lawyers, Guns and Money" is done here as a weird hybrid of country and metal. Gary U.S. Bond's "New Orleans" comes complete with a spoken intro, in which Hank claims to have performed the tune in high school, but with the mistaken name "The Hey Song."
