I too have read the one for couples, and wondered if this would be very repetitive, but instead I have been very pleased. Very valuable information and very insightful on the action "Love". Don't miss reading this one!

This book explains the five love languages. It encourages you to practice
ALL five on the child. As the child matures, you will figure out what exactly is his/her best one that makes them feel the most loved.

Excellent Book - IT IS A WINNER!

Should be required reading for all parents. Very interesting to see how the childs love language should be used and how it should not be used. I realized that changes should be made in how to discipline a 6 year old boy because of what language he uses most often. My making a point to use the specific languages that seem to best fit the children, it seems to influence behavior of the child.

I bought this book after I read the original five love languages. I was really impressed that the methods I applied after reading the five love languages actually worked. Once I started speaking my husband's love language he started responding to me in the I needed and so I decided to get this book to be able to be a better mother for my children. My children are still very young but I want to be prepared for the time I will needed it. I like the way Dr. Gary takes each love language and takes it apart so that you can better understand it. He also includes a lot of examples of what that certain love language looks like. Even though my children are young I can often see traits described in Dr. Gary's book and I am better equiped to handle a situation. This book also inspired other relationships outside my immediate family. Great book, HIGHLY recommened!!!

I am still in the process of reading the book but so far it is helpful for my job. I am a family therapist and there are a lot of kids who feel their parents do not love them. This book helps in identifying what a kid needs and what a parent can do.

I LOVE this book! I believe that knowing your child's love language, which is...knowing what actions define love to them individually, is the key to loving them in their own unique way. That can close the door to insecurity in their life, and open the door to the kind of confidence we all need to be successful! There are practical ways, listed in this book, to love your child according to his/her love language, too. LOVE IT!!!

When I bought this book, I also bought Chapman's love languages of love and five languages of love of teenagers. Alghough all three books are the same, I like the focus on children. It discusses why some children act the way they do. I don't like that the books are too similar.

A great book about how each child responds to different love languages. This is a Christian-based book, but is not "in your face" about it. I think it offers a lot to consider and is quite insightful. There's a lot of truth in there!

The Five Love Languages is a great book that is very easy & interesting to read. It will help in all relationships, even those that are already happy!

This is a great book for all families. I bought it for my wife and our family. Author is very good and we have some of his other books as well.

After reading the Five Love Languages, I checked to see if there were any additional versions, and was so happy to find it for children! It's such a simple concept, and so easy to do, every parent should have a copy!
After reading this book, my husband and I have learned our oldest children's love languages, and can speak love to them more effectively, as well as make sure to love them in all of the languages. And until our youngest shows preference for one or two love languages, we are giving her all of them.
Our kids have also learned about the love languages and find it intriguing.

I decided to buy this book after checking it out from the local library, I realized this was a book I would refer to over time. I have four children from ages 3 months to 8 years and this book could be helpful in my parenting with my eight year old now until my 3 month old is a teen. It is a wonderful book to learn how to love your children in more ways than one. It is a read and re-read kind of book. I love the ease in reading this book. They refrained from jargon that you would need a degree to understand and they included a lot of examples that help apply the concept of understanding the love languages of children. I also love that the authors do have degrees and know what they are talking about.

A great read to go along with the five love Languages for adults,If you are a military family it will help the family with the service member comes home from a long deployment. The book is very easy to fallow.

Very good book and the author also wrote The Five Love Languages ( which basically is the adult version of this book ).One of the reasons I bought this book is because my daughter-in-law said she was looking for this book to help with raising 2 girls ( my grandchildren )so obviously as a grandparent you try to help anyway that you can.

This is a terrific book, it really helps you to understand your children and connect with them. I would reccomend this book to everyone I loved it this book is a nightstand book its a book that you will always go back to.

I bought this book because I needed help relating to my son. It not only taught me how to show him the love he needs to feel, it also helped read others needs & to respond to them in loving ways. Everyone should read this book at least once!

Having had 5 children and now 3 grands, the book offered possible answers to why their personalities and reactions are so disparate, though I thought their environment and nurture were the same. Not so, because they were seeking different answers to their basic need for love. I re-read the book, highlighted parts that spoke to my loved ones. Indeed, food for thought and a chance to fill their cups with their favorite drink.

I love the book because it talks about kids. Its very helpful on understanding your child a little beter. It lets understand their love language and how to keep their tank full.

If you have read or learned about the Five Love Languages and you have children, grandchildren, or other kids close to you, this book will give you some really great and helpful insight!
