Publisher's Note The award-winning, nationally acclaimed theater company present the most refreshing, most revealing, and raunchiest reference book ever to come out of the closet.
You have just been invited to join the award-winning, nationally acclaimed theater troupe as they move from the stage to the page. Exploring every aspect of lesbian life, they cover early indications that the straight life is not your style - from unusual encounters with Barbie to the proclivity to participate in every high school sport; helpful do's and don'ts for coming out at family dinners, at weddings, and at board meetings; the language of lesbianism - in an uninhibited "dyketionary"; how to achieve "lesbian style", the ultimate standard in American lifestyles today; and seduction, sex, and other tips on finding and keeping the perfect partner.
Industry Reviews The five "brothers" are Maureen Angelos, Babs Davy, Dominique Dibbell, Peg Healey, and Lisa Kron, who have performed together as a traveling theater group for the past seven years. Readers should be aware that though this is called a "reference" book, the word "fabricated" in the description is accurate. The book is funny and particularly fine for reading aloud to significant others; the surveys designed to help you decide whether you are lesbian and, if so, what style or type you are, could easily become lesbian trivial pursuit games. But while this is a delightful book, its appeal lies with a special audience lesbians who can laugh at themselves. Purchase where demand requires. Pauline Klein, DeKalb Cty. P.L., Decatur, Ga. Moore
