First-Time Quiltmaking (Book) by Linda Hungerford 2006
This is an excellent book for the young and the elderly that can be used for the self-taught first time quilter or by an instructional method for a group of those eager to learn how to quilt. This book can also be used by someone who has never learned to use a sewing machine since the patterns in the book are the basic straight-line stitching. The illustrations are an excellent tool if one is not sure how it is suppose to look as opposed to some books that just shows the finished product. The only negative point I would have with this book is not having a alternative section if one does not have a sewing machine and would like to stitch by hand. In conclusion, I would highly recommend this book to anyone who enjoys the art of quilting.
