Firewall (DVD, 2006, Full Frame)

Jack Stanfield (Harrison Ford)is a bank's security chief who has created a computer system & firewall to protect the bank. Bill Cox (Paul Bettany)pretends to be interested in working with Jack on a security project as a ruse to meet with Jack. Cox then ambushes him with a gun; when Jack arrives home, he realizes Cox & his gang of violent psychopaths are holding his family hostage. They want Jack to hack through his employer's computer security & transfer $100 million to Cox's bank accounts in the Caymans. Failure to cooperate means the murder of Jack's family. Stanfield realizes this will implicate him as an embezzler but he complies; unfortunately, even after Cox has the money, it is obvious to Jack that no one will be allowed to live!
Loaded with action and suspense, this film was off to a slow start, but the pace quickly increased! This role is perfect for Ford, whose acting skills are like fine wine, which improve with age! Bettany does a good job playing the villian.

This is a very entertaining and action packed movie. Good story line and great acting. If you like action movies that follow a plot this is a great movie for you. One of those movies that are worth the money to watch.

Entirely predictable. Full of clichés. Not even one clever line to alleviate the monotony. Harrison makes another few mill. (yawn) Don't bother.

Shameless product endorsements galore.... "Buy a Dell with Windows XP, they were featured in Harrison's last crap film!!"

It's a shame to see such obvious pandering to a mass audience. The title should have given it away. Firewall? What did this movie have to do with technology? The movie was clichéd, shallow and lacking in creativity, humor or cleverness.

Characters are all one dimensional. It tries, lamely, to suck you in with slick visuals like the nice house, office, cars, etc... then delivers nothing by way of plot that you haven't seen 10,000 times before.

It's a real shame Hollywood makes crap like this so often. I know that sounds elitist, but I'm not. Hollywood keeps going for the sure bet, easy money stuff like this. No creativity whatsoever...

If you like action-packed, on the edge of your seat kind of movies...then this is definitely one to add to your DVD collection...I loved it and had to have it to add to mine

If you like action packed thrillers and like especially Harrison Ford, this movie is for you! It is totally enjoyable from the beginning to the end! Worth the investment either in purchase or rental! If you have not seen it, a MUST SEE! Great movie that a couple can enjoy together for a movie night at home!

This movie was a very good movie and also had a lot of suspense. I enjoyed it very much and the price was even better for my budget. I look forward to my future purchases.

Action pack from beginning to end Harrison Ford is still a great action hero. Only dislikes are some of the fight scenes are over the top.

I SAW THE COMMERCIAL WHEN IT WAS COMING TO THEATER BUT MY WIFE DIDNT WANT TO SEE IT. THEN ONE DAY I REMEMBER THE MOVIE AND I KNEW IT WAS ON VIDEO BUT I FORGOT THE TITLE. I FIGURED IT OUT AND PURCHASED IT THROUGH EBAY. THE MOVIE IS GOOD BUT NOT AS MUCH AS I EXPECTED IT SHOULD'VE BEEN.

I bought three dvd's from one seller, and I would buy from him again, because they made it very easy to pay for my movies. The movies must have been packaged soon after they were ordered, because they arrived very quickly. When the movies came I checked out them and found that they were in good condition. Also, the shipping from dvdnoexta did not cost an arm and a leg. The only thing I didn't like was that all three movies were in the same paper cover. I knew no plastic case was provided, but I thought that each movie would come in its own wrap. I can't put the movies in my dvd holder because it will leave scratches. Other than that everything was great.

I saw the movie advertised on Pay Per View and decided to buy a copy. It was a good decision. The action moves very fast and it is nice for the computer nerd to win. I recommend the movie.

The price was fine, the movie came in a timely manner, it seemed to be package right. I enjoyed the movie. Don't like spending much time writing all this stuff

I have bought a few dvds off ebay and for the most part they all came through in excelent condision. I had one or two of them that were badley scratched but when I contacted the seler their was no problum. The seler replaced the dvds ASAP.
I bought these movies because I could get them for one third of the price that they would have cost me in the store and like I said most of they were in like new condision.

I Love the fact that it was a fast delivery. And I love the movie and the fact it was full screen. I decided to buy it because the seller had good reviews.

I bought this on dvd and was a little disappointed. It was a good story about (basically) a bank robbery for $100,000,000. But, instead of an actual heist, it's done by electronic transfer and the internet. Harrison Ford plays Jack, the guy in charge of the computer/account security for a bunch of banks. His family gets kidnapped and he is forced to help the robbers. The movie is OK but nothing special. If you like Harrison Ford, you will probably like this film. But, don't expect the quality or entertainment value you get when Ford played The Fugitive, Indiana Jones, or Han Solo. This movie could of been better. Ocean's Eleven was a better heist movie.

Excellent! Harrison Ford, as always, delivers an action packed performance. Had me on the edge of my seat with new and different twists at every turn.

I enjoyed this movie very much. If you like Harrison Ford, you will like this movie! It was suspensful and entertaining.
