Great Suspense
I have enjoyed this story many times. The purpose is for two people with extraordinary skills to join together and catch the sick culprit who enjoys trapping people in fires. The culprit has the twisted fascination of opening all of his senses to the murders. If he is not close enough to smell the burning flesh, if he cannot hear the screams for mercy then he is not satisfied and another murder must take place for compensation. The "investigators" who frantically chase after him, gaining more knowledge with the help of the butler/karate expert/ex-CIA agent George share an intinmacy of the minds. One shares the pain of the people who are subjected to fires, the other can change people's decisions by delving deep into their minds and thoughts. It is an impressive book.
