I absolutely love the books and when I thought about getting them on audiobook it seemed ideal for me. I can really get into reading them and then don't want to do anything else, so I can do my work while I listen to my favorite books. Always go with the unabridged if you are considering buying these books on cd or tape. It may be more expensive to do so, but if you haven't read the books (or even if you have) you loose the majority of the book if it is abridged. It is like hearing only one line of your favorite song! I love these books and recommend them to anyone who enjoys detailed stories with more than just one or two main characters. Some reviews I've read didn't like them because they felt there were too many characters. I don't agree. If you read the books you learn to recognize the different characters, their personalities, and the more books you read the more you are aware of their importance in the story line. I love these books!
