Movie Description
FIREPROOF, from the same team that made the 2006 hit FACING THE GIANTS, is a Christian relationship drama with a very strong message. The film stars Kirk Cameron of the classic television series GROWING PAINS as Captain Caleb Holt, a fireman whose fearlessness is limited to his work. At home with his wife of seven years, Caleb shows little of the bravery he displays on the job, and has a failing marriage as a result. Fighting over every little thing, Caleb and his wife, Catherine (Erin Bethea), are on the verge of signing divorce papers when Caleb's father and coworkers urge him to approach his marriage in the same way he fights vicious flames. When Caleb's father gives him the "Love Dare," a 40-day guide to religiously motivated marriage help, Caleb begins a difficult journey to reclaim his wife, and in the process, his faith in God.

With several action-packed scenes, FIREPROOF uses fire metaphors in its exploration of marriage. The film offers an alternative to the common romantic comedy and, some might argue, a more multidimensional view of romance. The film examines both the ups and inevitable downs of married life, offering faith as a prescription for saving what may at first glance appear to have already failed. Likely to please its target audience, the film offers a fresh perspective on marriage and inspiring relationship tips viewers may want to try regardless of their faith.

In this religious romantic drama, Kirk Cameron (LEFT BEHIND) stars as Captain Caleb Holt, a firefighter who is brave enough to risk his life daily but he can't save his marriage. When he and his wife (Erin Bethea) are on the verge of divorce, Caleb's father steps in and asks him to take "The Love Dare": 40 days of spiritually driven ways to try to get back into his wife's heart. At first, Caleb doesn't have much success...until he realizes that he has to get his relationship with God in order before he can improve his marriage.

A Must Watch For All Couples

I just recently watched Fireproof with my boyfriend. I was a little worried about watching it with him because I just knew it would be some what of a "chick" movie. However, it was much more then that. This movie should be watched by all couple...together. You don't have to be married to get something out of this movie, although the main character are a young married couple who have a strained relationship. They are both going through emotions and thinking about divorce as an option. It is told with a Christian perspective but set as a love story. The movie shows the characters in every day light and the things that they face together are very true to life. They learn how to treat each other and how to grow closer to each other. I cried like a big baby throughout the last 15 min's, however, it was a good cry. I have to mention that some of the acting isn't going to be top notch Hollywood acting. There are a couple characters in the film who maybe sound a little too rehearsed. With that said, the story will help you overlook that and its really worth watching. My boyfriend even liked this movie...I think any couple faces these types of problems at some point so it is nice to see how to get through it and move forward together in love.

Bring on the next Sherwood Pictures movie!

Wow! Sherwood Pictures is getting better every time.
After watching Flywheel and Facing the Giants, when I heard that Sherwood Pictures was coming out with Fireproof, I was ecstatic!
Caleb Holt (Kirk Cameron) is a firefighter who risks his life to rescue others, yet he is about to lose his marriage.
His father encourages him to do 'The Love Dare', a 40 day challenge to show his love for his wife. She rejects him, and he is about ready to quit halfway through, when he accepts Christ and finds out what true love is.
True love is given even when it is not deserved.
He decides to not quit, but to keep going as long as it takes. Filled with suspense, this is a great movie.
I look forward to more movies from Sherwood Pictures.
    A must see for EVERYONE!
PS - Make sure you have some tissues nearby, you will need them!
