Firefly - The Complete Series (Blu-ray Disc, 2008, 3-Disc Set; Checkpoint; Sensormatic; Widescreen)

I have been a fan of this series, and own the DVD version, but the Blu-ray really brings it to life. I think it is a huge improvement over the DVD.

Action-packed, easy to watch. I enjoyed the character development and constant surprises. Its too bad the studio's change of management forced the series down. Don't forget to watch the movie Serenity once you've seen the series!!

This is my second variation of Firefly as I'am up dating to Blue Ray and I had to have it. It's like seeing it for the first time.

About the show; this is a great show. I love it. I wish that they hadn't canceled it so early. Now, about the product itself; I own both the DVD version and now the Blu-ray. So I decided to do a little side-by-side comparison. The Blu-ray, though somewhat sharper when playing, was quite grainy compared to the DVD, especially when paused. The DVD's lower resolution, although up-converted by the DVD player, allowed for a softer picture. My guess is that they really didn't do much for the Blu-ray when copying it from the master. So you end up with a slightly sharper but grainy image.

I purchased firefly on blu-ray and received it incredibly fast from the seller. I was overall impressed and happy for my purchase. The cost for the blu-ray was approximately 60% discounted from the list price. Video, sound, episodes, and features were all great.

A far out sci-fi mixed with some very funny characters and why not through in a little mystery and action, then this series is a must see. Can not believe it only made it one season. From the same guy that has brought us "Sarah Conner-The Terminator Chronicles," Joss Whedon.

Great cast, interesting and creative theme, mixing a little wild west and outerspace scifi, a real winner. What were they thinking cancelling this series? At least they gave us "Serenity" as a little closure.

If you haven't watched Firefly, you should. It only ran for one season before being canceled, but since then has earned a loyal following. People thought it was so good that they did a fund raiser to get it put back on the air. The network then used that money to make the movie Serenity since they weren't able to put Firefly back on the air for one reason or another.

AS A SCI-FI FAN I USE TO WATCH IT ON FOX CH. BUT IT WAS DISC. TO BAD BECAUSE I ENJOYED IT ,THE STORY LINE IS GOOD AND THE CHARACTERS ARE INTERISTING .I HOPE THAT THEY RESTART THE SERIES AGAIN.SO THE MOVIE CAME OUT CALLED SERINITY IT WAS A GREAT ENDING OF THE SERIES ,BUT I HOPE THAT THEY WILL MAKE MORE OF THIS MOVIE PARTS IN THE FUTURE.

I love this series! The charaters are deep and engaging. Every time you watch the series you'll learn something new about the characters. Each episode has enough plot to stand on its own, but every episode contributes to the overall plot of the series.

If the series feels unfinished, that's because it is. The show was, quite tragically, canceled (a move that FOX is probably kicking themselves for right now). The movie Serenity is a continuation of the series and provides some closure, but it's a shame we never learn more about Shepard Book's character.

While the cancellation of a show with so much potential is dissapointing, watching the series over and over is easier since the series is short. Long series can be difficult to complete as they require a larger time commitment.

In short this is an A+ series that should be seen at least once.
