The Firebird by Marcy Kelman (2007, Paperback)

This little book is an intelligent and delightful adaptation of famous Russian fairytale of The Firebird adapted to be understood and enjoyed by toddlers all around the world. The fantastic colourful illustrations, the simple language used, the einstein characters and of course rocket all come together to provide hours of entertainment. My little son loves it and he has watched the DVD, I don't know how many times and this book provides the perfect accompaniment to it. Whenever he wants a story to be read to him, he chooses this book first. We read it to him before he goes to bed and it provides a very good springboard to ask so many questions. Through this book and the others in the range of Little Einsteins he has come across so many fantastic new places, he is learning and having fun at the same time. I would recommend them for any parents with children from 3+ years onwards. Believe me these books have been life savers whenever the little one was bored in some place or another and he just opens these books and lifts the flaps or works out a very easy puzzle or simply looks at the pictures. It is a wonderful way to introduce children to geography, general knowledge, reading, decision taking etc. I would fully recommend these LIttle Einsteins books.
