Fire Emblem Radiant Dawn Guide Review

I bought this guide hoping that it would be like the Path of Radiance guide, a helpful guide with game art spread throughout the pages. I was greatly disappointed.
This guide only covers the Normal difficulty and doesn't touch on enemy forces for either easy mode, or more importantly, hard mode. Each chapter is written as a step-by-step "this character must do this at this time" guide. It offers no suggestions for anyone wishing to use other strategies.
When it comes to choosing among the vast amount of playable characters, no useful information is provided to help decide which people to raise and which to leave behind. The guide typically suggests to raise weak characters with bonus experience, even though only 3 stats can be raised in this fashion per level, turning weak characters into virtually useless characters. Furthermore, no stats or growth rates for individual characters are provided. The only chart for stats was a table that showed the max of a particular stat of a particular class, neglecting that individual characters have different caps. It is basically steering the reader to raise all characters evenly despite the fact that some are much stronger than others. This leaves the player with a field of many mediocre soldiers instead of a smaller group of unstoppable killing machines.
It is also riddled with typos and inaccuracies. According to the guide, Reflame, a fire magic tome, is also a wind and thunder tome. There are errors in nearly every chart in the appendices.
Fire Emblem fan sites have more detailed FAQs, maps, charts and other useful information for free. Anybody looking for anything regarding Radiant Dawn is better off taking that route.
