"Fine Fashion Jewelry from Sarah Coventry" by Lindbeck

I needed a book with great pics, & this was the book. I didn't think it mattered that much if the pieces didn't have their Sarah Coventry names with pictures & descriptions, but it does! For example, the "Garland" pin & earrings set is called the Wreath pin & earrings set by author. When I can, I am having to put little dots or labels on each piece not named when I know the name, to help me know what pieces are called. A real hassle! Would have been nice if author had taken the time to do a little research & put names of each piece in the description area! Most pieces are without actual names. Author groups items by type, which is nice & makes what you are looking for easier to find. However, sometimes if you are looking for a certain pin, it won't be with the pins section, but may be grouped in the "Dazzling Combinations" section. Also, some of the most sought after & important pieces are not in this book, such as "Light of the East" Parure, or set. Book is somewhat disorganized overall. The book being a "Schiffer" book is high quality with glossy pages, 160 of them, & author put lots of nice info on company history. Also nice to have some of the SC Company Catalogs listed by date (1976-1980). Script is so small you can hardly read it (catalogs); and the accessories 1 page is nice. Thought they had more accessories than 2 watches, 2 cuff links, and 3 belts! Overall fair, or average for my needs. Good written info, except for lacking names of pieces! I'd agree with another's assessment that this is mostly a beginner's book with pretty pictures.
