This book was refered to me from a friend that had recently lost her mother. It is a must have for family and friends that have so many questions about knowing they are losing a loved one. It helps one to make this time a better and more fulfilling experience.

I read it after my mom died. I should have read it prior to her death. It was comforting and helpful.

Interesting. Hoping it would be helpful to me after mom's death, it actually made me doubt my care and re live every sad thing about mom's dying. It wasn't good for ME but others may love it! It was not as based in Christianity as I thought it would be.

This is a MUST READ for everyone on this planet! I am NOT a reader, but I could not put this book down. It helped me to undestand and cope with the dying needs of my parents. I had the great opportunity to deal with hospice nurses and volunteers through my fathers illness and feel that they are the most capable people of writing a book like this. I am reading this book for the second time, and buying a few for gifts. What an eye opener!

I wanted to buy this book on a friends recommendation. It is in good shape, but old/discolored. I have not read the book yet, but have heard very good things about it. I am a grief facilitator at my job and am looking forward to reading this. The shipment came quickly and no damage.

We just lost my husband's brother to cancer, and this book was invaluable in the insights it gave us. We received it just a couple of weeks before he died, and left it at his home for any caregivers to read while they were caring for him. Everyone was so impressed with the openness, simplicity, and compassion with which this book was written. It told us how to interpret conversations, actions, and other communications, which helped him not become frustrated from our ignorance or misinterpretations of what he was trying to tell us. We got this book on the recommendation of someone who had gone through the dying process with a family member, and would highly recommend it to anyone who has a friend or family member dying of a terminal illness.
