SquareSoft has always had a sure-fire hit when releasing any of their Final Fantasy titles, and Final Fantasy VIII should be no exception. The basis of a good RPG (role-playing game) has always been the story; spectacular graphics are secondary. Final Fantasy VIII's involved and interesting story line is filled with great twists, well-developed characters, suspense, and romance. As an added bonus, the graphics are beautiful. Everything--from the low-lit jazz club to the steam-filled railroad tunnels--is gorgeous and perfectly sets the mood and tone of a scene.

Great guideIt's a excelent guide but there are some few errors. Normal for a complex game. I recomend this guide for final fantasy maniacs

) The guide is full of stats and powers and monsters and such. The maps are also very helpful but can be a bit confusing to read. I was really disappointed in the lack of actual strategies for things like leveling up (great places to do it or monsters to fight), tips for winning card games, and other bits of info that would be very helpful playing this game. Overall, its about what I would expect from BradyGames, but the lack of actual strategies and hints really make it just another guide.
