  Greatest RPG of all time...

I originally played this game when it was out on the Playstation... it was the very first RPG i played in my life back in my teens! It's seriously a great game with superd and yes.. i mean SUPERB story-line! The gameplay is excellent and the graphics are pretty decent... The materia system in battle is by far one of the best systems i have ever played in any RPG... the combination of the materias as well as the drawbacks of attaching them make this game a real challenge! Also, the game has many secrets and optional quests that are great! Challenge yourself defeating emerald weopon or ruby weopon with just one character... it's something worth boasting about =)

I used to own this game on playstation but lost it. I didnt even know it was on PC until i found it on Ebay. I love the fact that its exactly the same as I remember it. Its an awsome game. Plus it was cheap also.
It's the greatest game that you can buy. The story line and gameplay are unmatched. If your a rpg gamer this is the one to own.

I had never played Final Fantasy until a couple of years ago and I am saddened that I had missed out on it until then! I owned a Super Nintendo when I was little but always played the Mario games and never tried these. I highly recommend you play it and own it but I will warn you it's very addicting!

By Far The Best Final Fantasy Game To Date.

This game is amazing in so many different ways. The Story line is amazing and is clearly one of the reasons why the company went so far with it. Although we know the graphics aren't as great, we should remember it was made in the 90's.

One of the things I loved most about this game was the players free will. There are so many choices you make, each with it's different outcome. It'll make you want to play again and again.

The soundtrack was one of the games top strong points. Each song perfectly described the stage and situation the player was in. It couldn't have gotten any better at that age of gaming. Now I wish they were able to use real instruments.

The thing I loved the most in this game would probably be it's characters. Each character has there own unique story that defines who they are and why. Some of which are heart breaking while others are just downright funny. It also amazes me how they were able to make everyones storyline connect in some way.

The mini-games in FF VII are top notch. They can't get any better since you choose what happens. It gives the player a well balanced time to relax and take a brake from stopping world destruction. (I know, it's weird) O_O;

Overall, this game is perfect in almost every way. It's a must have PC/PS game. After all, this game made the PS1 so much more popular. I just hate the fact, though, that it was so expensive.

A Game That Defined a Genre
Review created: 08/15/07

I originally had this game back in 1997 when it first came out. It may say "only" 60 hours of gameplay, but I put at least 125 into it. It never gets old, and the story line is incredible. This is arguably the RPG that took RPG's into the mainstream game play. Even by today's standards it holds its own. I imagine a rerelease with modern graphics and an expanded storyline would sell as well today as the original did 10 years ago.

Without FF VII, the world of gaming would look much much different than it does today. Honestly, how many games have a 10 year life span?

I cannot wait to get my hands on the game that helped to drop my college GPA a full tenth of a point.

Final Fantasy VII for the PC
Review created: 10/19/09

This product was great at one time I'm sure. This game was made for Windows 95, so trying to install the game on an XP machine takes some craftiness. I still haven't been able to install it on my nephew's machine which runs XP, so I'm currently looking for patches. I'll say it'll be fun once it's up, but for now it's quite a burden.

  True old school RPG. Excellent!
Review created: 10/12/09

As with all the Final Fantasy game series I played this one also on the older game consoles. This was on the PS1, and was truly the ultimate in the original "true to tradition" FF game series. Final Fantasy broke the ground for online MMORPG's, and was the most popular RPG series ever to come out, even to this day. Many FF games came out after this one, and all were excellent, but this was truly the last the followed the traditional, designs and gameplay. I always wanted this for the PC, and these many years later. I have gotten it. If you love old school RPG's, this is simply a "must have". :) 2 thumbs up!

Final Fantasy VII on the PC
Review created: 09/02/09

While it's not a perfect port of the PSX title, this is still a great game. Most of what was great in the original gameplay-wise is still there. There are some major problems like the fact that the PSX soundtrack has been replaced by MIDI versions of the songs, but the greatest thing about PC games though is modding communities. Most problems that are exclusive to the PC version can be fixed by utilizing this resource and you can even "enhance" your game so you can rediscover Final Fantasy VII all over again.

  Final Fantasy VII (PC)
Review created: 06/23/09
by:

I just bought the final fantasy VII (pc) game a few days ago, june 19 or something like that. and i was surprised how fast it got to my house. The box is shaped as a trapezoid, normally game boxes are sold using a square or rectangle shape, so this is very unique. The game itself was wonderful, considering its a 1997 manufactured game the graphics for that time was the best, and considering its one of the best selling games in Square Enix, A.K.A Square Soft, you can honestly why its one of the best. The games fun in all kind of ways; mini games, action, adventure etc. The only problem with this game was the system requirements. In order to play it, if you had an XP you would need a patch just to make it play in your computer, although the patch may or may not work depending if the game was compatible for the computer. In any case, I ultimately love this game, most addicting game ever. What's more is that you can change how well the graphics look, like nice and smooth. If anyone would choose a game I'd recommend Final Fantatasy VII for the PC and the Playstation Versoin.

I was impressed by the seller's Best Offer deal, the package was shipped promptly and having the item firmly encased in bubble wrap, cardboard and duct tape shows me that the seller is concerned with getting goods to his/her customer in one piece.

  Best Game ever
Review created: 12/19/08

After searching around and finding FF7 at no lower than about $45-50, I decided to go for it. I also read that there were SEVERAL problems running in XP... Well I am using XP SP3- all i did was remove all the installed codecs i remembered actually installing separate. It worked great! The only problem I ever had was the Chocobo race scene/part- if you follow this link you can download an official patch for it: (http://forums.eidosgames.com/showthread.php?t=55183)
Anyways- great game and overall a worthwhile purchase. I will be hanging on to this for a while!

  Great classic

A great classic jRPG.
I've played both playstation and PC versions, and the PC version just seems to have better graphics. The only problem with the PC version now a days, is that you'll need to find a patch that works for whatever flavor of Windows XP you are running. Took me about 20 minutes of internet browsing to find the one that worked for my computer and since then it's been great.

A must have for any jRPG fans.
