  Best Final Fantasy Game Ever!!!
Review created: 09/17/06

Final fantasy III was by far the best out of all the games, for the reason they it stayed true to its roots of fantasy, using swords and other assorted older weapons, then of todays games which use guns. In this game you are searching out the Espers, a old power, that could bring destruction to the known world. The gameplay is filled with a great storyline, and I can guarentee you will not get bored with it. This game is becoming harder and harder to find considering its popularity and rarity!

Writing this review solely because the game deserves more perfect scores. This is simply the RPG which all modern RPGs have been judged since. The only true way to play this game is on an SNES system.

Final Fantasy 3 (Us Version) A real RPG Quick Review
Review created: 09/23/08(updated 09/23/08)

Having played RPGS since the NES system I find that RPGs overall really came into their own on the SNES with enhanced graphics, music, and game play. It's capabilities were limitless. Game producers were able to express themselves more on the SNES with the technology given and for that very reason exposed us to some of the greatest story lines.

For those who've played this game can agree that the games art work and music was something that left the imagination go on for hours after the game was off. What I find most important in RPG games is not the fighting sequences(although it is a big part). What is more important is a story line that takes you 'into' the game itself. A story line driven with emotion can be very powerful and this game had just that. The music was brilliant and I could not have thought of anyone else but Nobuo Uematsu composing it. Music that flows with your emotions is something you do not experience often in gaming.

Each character has their own story to tell and the events to follow are so powerful and touching. If only a world like that existed and that all we fans can escape to. For any great game it's game play has to be flawless but for an RPG it's pretty straight forward. This game also has the map feature where you walk on different continents on your epic journey. This game is so diverse from fighting in the sky to battling on a Opera Stage to flying an Airship. Not only do you have magic, you also have Espers that you can call to help you aid in your fight against Kefka. If you haven't played this game and want to experience what Final Fantasy is really about try it out

I give this game a 10/10 and hopefully this quick review was enough to convince you to try it out.

This is one of the few games out there that after I beat I still played over and over again, it never got boring. Man I wish I would have held on to mine, I'd like to play it now. This game is what made the FF series great. Great storyline, and characters. If you've never played this, your missing out.

This game is one of the best games on the SNES. This game is definitely worth every penny to buy it! SNES consoles can be had for cheap here on eBay, so if you get one, I strongly encourage you to get Final Fantasy III. You will not be dissapointed.

My son loves this series of games. This game makes good use of the power of this dated platform. Not violent or bloody. Exciting for him to play.

What an exciting game to play.

When I played Final Fantasy III it was a huge enjoyment for me; so much so that I made a guide for it when I had the time back then. I loved replaying it and going over my saves to glean the information for the guide. I loved everything about it. I had not played Final Fantasy II but I had played Final Fantasy Legends games, so for me the jump was exciting and at times heart pounding. The story and character along with the look was fresh and new for me. Even if you play it now I think, you will enjoy this game. Because of all the things you can do, and how the story unfolds and the wonderful music too. If you have played Secret of Evermore or Illusion of Gaia or Chrono Trigger the look is basically the same. The game is huge with many places to explore with diverse areas and it is so much fun.
I do not think the makers of this game could have done any better so I give it a perfect score.

I am an RPG fan, and have followed the squaresoft line of game from FF for the Nintendo. This particular game holds up to the ages, is as fun now as it was when it first appeared on our shores. Solid plot, and game dynamics, gets you involved like xinogears does. In short, this game is a timeless classic.

About my purchase of Final Fantasy III for SNES
Review created: 11/09/06

I purchased Final Fantasy III for the Super Nintendo System. I made this purchase because I am a huge fan of the series and a video game collector. I finished this game half a dozen times in my life since its release in 1994 and wanted to recall some of the great gameplay involved in this game. The story line is equal to reading a best selling novel and the cast of characters all have their own unique way in fighting and acting. At the time of its release this game brought some of the best graphic details available. Scenes like the Opera House singled this Final Fantasy game out of the pack. Characters can learn various magic spells from espers found throughout the land and airships help you search for them at a faster pace. If you are a fan of the series or just starting to get into it, this is one you need in your collection.

  FF III, the best?

YES. This game is so over-rated by the predecessor FF VII. I think the game outdoes FFVII by a lot. The characters are much more heroic. The game is 30-50 hours depending on how you play the game. Not too many random battles and it's a very nice paced game throughout the story. I find it to be one of the best looking games of it's time. Awesome spells, attacks, and story. A+ game.

I had never played Final Fantasy until a couple of years ago and I am saddened that I had missed out on it until then! I owned a Super Nintendo when I was little but always played the Mario games and never tried these. I highly recommend you play it and own it but I will warn you it's very addicting!

One of the best RPG's Nintendo came out with!

One of Nintendo's best! This has an easy-to-follow and easy-to-understand format, and the controls are simple enough for a young child to figure out. This game appeals to all ages, from eight to eighty. I discovered this game back when it first came out, and it is still as enjoyable as it was then. It is highly imaginitive, has great graphics and allows the player to set the action and battle sequences to his or her own speed and preference. It has a believable and enjoyable storyline, with humorous characters and loads of interesting places to go and things to see. While you can finish this game in about 24 hours of playtime, I like to go everywhere and discover everything. The longer you play, the higher your character levels go, and there is no end to the things you can find if you look. I have played mine at least 50 times, and I still discover hidden things that I had previously overlooked. Definitely a need-to-have if you are a RPG enthusiast, and a Nintendo afficionado. (Spelling???) Oh, well, you get my meaning. Enjoy!

  Final Fantasy III

When you think of the term 'RPG' most people would think of Final Fantasy III. This game made the RPG genre popular back in the days of the Super Nintendo. With stunning artwork, masterful storytelling, and compelling characters, this game brought depth and emotion to video games that some may argue has never been matched.

This game is a turn-based RPG, so if you're turned off by reading lots of text and lots of plot, then shame on you. This game is great.

Final Fantasy III, or Final Fantasy VI in Japan, is arguably the best Final Fantasy in the series. It has it all, addicting gameplay, great graphics, and a killer story. This is one of the defining RPGs and a must own for anyone who is a fan on RPGs.

I really enjoyed the game, it's a classic for the SNES system. The only part I thought dragged a bit is in the second half when the game became non-linear. I bought it because I wanted an immersing experience with an RPG and I got it ten-fold.

  A gem among the classics
Review created: 07/16/08

Final Fantasy 3 (truly 6th in series) tells an incredibly immersive tale about a worldwide political corruption bent on domination and a ragtag crew of many characters joined to fight against this. This game is one of my favorite rpgs as it perfected the rpg formula that many companies tried to copy after its conception. There's a great deal to love: an expansive cast of lovable characters, an outstanding musical score that stands as well as any epic score of today's video games, a deep and enthralling story, a challenging and tactical battle system, plenty of extra quests to extend game time without making it seem like extra grindwork to add hours, and the signature 5 star polish work of Squaresoft. To all who love rpgs and even to those who aren't the most enthralled by them, this game is worth looking at.

  The Most Epic Final Fantasy
Review created: 03/12/08
by:
1 of 1 people found this review helpful.

Final Fantasy III (Originally Final Fantasy VI in Japan) is by far the most epic game in the entire series.

The storyline featuring the battle against the empire and their plan to make use of magic with their Magitek armors is the most intriguing of all the series.

Starting out as a nameless girl with a mysterious past you are traveling with two imperial soldiers with the use of magitek armors to seek out the truth about the esper that is said to be located in the mountain.

As you emerge at the mountain top at the foot of the esper an unexpected event will take place. And this is where it all starts.

This game features possibly the best music in the series together with what probably is the best character designs and storyline that Final Fantasy has ever seen.

Square has yet to make a better Final Fantasy than this one and it will forever remain the best classic of them all, beating Final Fantasy VII by a long shot.

  "all time greatest video game"

Simply put, this game is a classic. Great character development, stunning graphics for the time of it's release and a powerful story make this RPG a must-play. This is the Final Fantasy game that hooked me so many years ago, and even though those that have come out since each hold a special place in my library, this is still my all-time favorite video game.

  1Excellent RPG
Review created: 01/29/08

This is one of the few must own games for any fan of RPGs. The soundtrack is by far the greatest of any video game. The graphics set the bar at the time, and still look good, if a bit drab. The gameplay is standard Final Fantasy, with random encounters and leveling abound. The real reason this game is a gem is the story. This story had no equal at the time, and has only been elevated over the years as more and more RPG's steal elements form it. If you play this then Final Fantasy 7, it is apparent how much of 7 is a carbon copy of this game, including several boss animations. This game is the Final Fantasy staple and should be enjoyed by all
