Description
Square's first game for a Nintendo console since the days of the Super NES takes the lush fantasy world from the Final Fantasy franchise and adds in hack-and-slash-style four-player action. The game does away with traditional experience points and instead focuses on action-oriented combat with a unique co-op slant. Up to three friends can join in on the quest, by using Game Boy Advance units connected to the GameCube as controllers. While all the main action takes place on the screen, the GBAs enable the players to access menus, organize their spell spheres, and perform upgrades without slowing down the action.

The initial release of this game included a GBA Cable to allow players instant access to the game.

Special Features
Finally Multiplayer Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles is the first multiplayer Final Fantasy game available on home consoles in the United States; using the Game Boy Advance as a controller, players are able to control their characters on screen, while receiving unique information on the Game Boy Advance screen which other players cannot see; fight through an epic role playing game with the story and graphic quality players have come to expect from the Final Fantasy series; use magic spells and special attacks to combat amazing enemies in massive real-time battles.

      good but has drawbacks

Personally this is a pretty cool game with about two major drawbacks;one is that the only way to play two player is using a gameboy advanced with the connection cable, now most major nintendofans would probably aready have one or two.The second one is when traveling you must carry a chalice or face death in the game. Also when traveling around out of a dungeon or bosses area you are in a carriage or sail boat that does get pretty old after a while.Other than that the grafics are very good and you can choose from many different caracters and the storyline is long and very good.I do recomend this game to any Final Fanasty fan or RPG gamer that does not look for perfection but,a good time.
