The Fighting Seabees (DVD, 2001)

It is a great war movie in which I enjoyed watch John Wayne and I thought that it was great, The only thing that I didn't like was almost to the end the dvd has a skip which I can live with as it is only a couple seconds and it goes back to the movie. I always wanted the fighting seabees since when I was younger and saw it at the movies.

KICK ASS MOVIE! Great for any John Wanye enthusiast. Despite the EXTREME inaccuracies as to how the Seabees were formed, it still put a smile on my face.

I recieved the movie when promised it was in excellent condition and I enjoyed it.And would recommend the seller to My friends.

A great movie if you're a John Wayne fan, or a US Navy Seabee Veteran. And Susan Hayward sure is pretty, huh?

I rated the video a excellent, although I have never seen it. This video was sent to a soldier in Iraq. He is a seabee and I thought that the guys and ladies there might enjoy watching a movie some evening when time and equipment allows...Just another one of OUR privileges WE can do here in the States due to those that have served...We should do more...What have you done to show your support for OUR troops?

I was a Seabee myself back in the 70's and this was a movie we had to watch in training. Brings back a lot of memories for me. It is also one of the few movies where john wayne gets killed.

The formation of the Seabees is chronicled here in somewhat meticulous detail when it is not overshadowed by John Wayne. The movie was made at Republic, a "B" studio with top actors, Wayne, Susan Hayward, Dennis O'Keefe and a wonderful supporting cast. Hayward is mainly wasted as the triangular love interest with Wayne and O'Keefe, but she does have a memorable scene with Wayne after being shot by the Japanese. This is a typical war film for it's time to invoke patriotism without detail to accuracy and fares as well as many of it's era thanks to the strong cast which manage to overcome a somewhat wobbly script.

This is one of the FEW John Wayne movies my wife did not have. This one is especially close to her heart as she is a SeaBee. Normally, you can only find this movie in the Seabee Museum at Port Hueneme, CA. She's looked high and low for it, and has been grousing about it for some time now. Imagine the look on her face when she found it in her Christmas stocking! Priceless....

My son joined the Navy and is training for the seabees. He told me to get this movie so Id understand what hes going to be doing. I coundt find the movie anywhere.I went online and found it. Very important to me because hes my only son. He just turned 20.I was very happy to find it and ordered it immediatley. I also found other movies at that website that I havent been able to find and Im going to order them as well. Thankyou very much, deborahc679.
