Great Sample of Hawaiian Music

We wanted to start a collection of Hawaiian Music and decided to start here. This CD is worth buying. It give you a great sample of various artists and songs. If you are new to Hawaiian music it may seem slow at first but then it grows on you are realize that Hawaiian music is not get up & go music but music to soothe the soul and relax you to the place where you want to be.

This CD is an excellent example of the "old" style Hawaiian music and the "new" resurgence of the Hawaiian language. I enjoyed this CD very much and would recommend it to anyone who enjoys Hawaiian music.

I love Hawaiian music ever since I first went to Hawaii in 1989. This particular CD contains all of the great artists from the past to present. This Iz song is a definite highlight of this compilation. A must have CD for any fan of Hawaiian music!

In June 2004 HONOLULU Magazine put together a panel of experts and named The 50 Greatest Hawaii Music Albums Ever. From those great albums a selection of the greatest tunes was chosen for this CD. Tracks like Olomana's "Seabird," The Brothers Cazimero's classic "Nani Hanalei," and Na Leo's incomparable "Flying With Angels." This CD is a must for any Hawai'i music collection. Whether a hard core Hawaiian music fan and collector or brand new to the Hawaiian music scene, this is an album that is a must have!
