The Fifth Element (Blu-ray Disc, 2007)

I love this movie. Comedy it is. Chris Tucker and Bruce Willis did a good job acting keeping the movie on a little edge of its on.Lots of action once it gets started. I had to get it on Blu Ray due to that.Its one to have in your library of movies.

I watched the 5th Element and I found it to be a very well done movie. It is a fun movie to watch from beginning to end. I really enjoyed all the actions scenes in the movie and I find the Bruce Willis was perfect for the movie. The 5th Element is like a roller-coaster, it's a fun ride from start to finish. The storyline of the movie is also well done as well as the plot of the movie. Chris Tucker does a good job in the movie as DJ Ruby Rhod. Gary Oldman is excellent as Jean-Baptiste Emanuel Zorg, who is a nasty villain. Milla Jovovich is also good in the movie as Leeloo. Beautiful picture and sound in Blu-Ray..cult classic.

Great movie, Blu-Ray quality was ok, not much better than the DVD, but sound is better on all blu-rays.

I used to own this movie in VHS. Since now, I got ps3 and 5.1 sound sys. The picture in HD is way more better! And the sound is so different too. Eventhought, this is an old movie. It still got that kind of pic & Sound. It is a total change from VHS to blu DVD. Worth it!!!

Seeing the 5th Element in HD/on BluRay is like seeing it for the first time. You don't want to blink for some of the detail you might miss. The story unfolds more cleanly and you can't believe all the things you missed when watching it on regular t.v. If you're a fan of this movie, you'll go gaga.

GREAT MOVIE!! I have always liked this movie. It's a great story with great special effects. The aliens are a little flaky & their speech (movement of the mouth) is not the best, but it's good enough. Watching this movie in Blu-Ray is something else!! If so enclined, you could count the bristles in Bruce Willis' beard stubble!! Very clear picture. Watching it on a big screen, with the surround sound turned up, all you need is the pop corn & you're at the theater! Absolutely loved it.

A great movie and now greater because it is in high-definition.The picture is unbelievably sharp and the sound is on point.

I like all actors in this movie. It is exciting from the beginning to the end. My whole family will sit and watch whenever this movie is on. It looks even better in Blu-ray. I give this movie two thumbs up!

The 5th Element is one of my favorite scifi movies and I bought the Blu-Ray disc to update from my standard DVD. The resolution and detail of people's faces and others were improved over my upconverted DVD. Unfortunately, the BD did fill the screen of my Sony Bravia 52" LCD leaving bars on top and bottom. I had to set the picture at zoom, thus cutting off the sides a little to take advantage of the big screen. One would expect a true 1080P disc would fill the screen without help but maybe this movie being released in 1997 had technology which held it back. I question whether I should have bought a Blu-Ray over staying with an upconverted standard DVD.

This is one of my favorite movies EVER. Luc Besson does such a wonderful job putting this movie together. It is a visual and audio spectacle. The opera on Floston Paradise is incredible. As an actor, I only hope that I can be involved in a production like this someday.

this is the best movie ever. loved the movie. seen it many time. everyone in my house loved the movie, and we jut a blu ray play and really wanted to try it out.

Great looking movie on blu ray , but other than great looks , no special features except for a VH1 style pop-up trivia factoids about the movie whilst you watch it. I think I got spoiled when I bought the blade runner 5 disc on blu ray , it had over 9 hours of special feature content , maybe I was expecting that with the 5th element. still a great flick to watch on blu ray , cant wait for aliens to show up on blu ray

I know it's even more cheesy today than when first released... but this film is so fun, an all-around treat. First of all, this and Pulp Fiction are Willis' best roles (forget Die Hard!). Next, the cinematography and effects are a visual treat, followed by Gautier's excellent wardrobe, set design and color choices. The plot is one of the few stand-alone sci-fi flicks that successfully encapsulates its unique myth and futuristic predictions - it doesn't need a sequel.

Finally, the director and cast are what pushes this gem over the top. Besson keeps an excellent fast pace, directing his former beau Jovovich in the role she was born to play. Oldman is always the perfect antagonist, and this role seems like eating sweets for him. Willis' cool detachment makes the whole impossibleness seem almost real. But it is the over-the-top performance of Chris Tucker as the fabulous Ruby Rhod that makes this movie "green, baby, it's green."

Because the film is such a visual treat, this especialy is a Blu-ray film worth adding to a collection.

I love this movie even if it wasnt blue ray but making it blue ray looks so much better. This movie is incredible, it has its share of action/adventure, comedy, romance. I saw this movie when I was very young and I must say its a true classic to have. Anyone who loves movies should consider purchasing The Fifth Element.
